When building a character based on the chosen class, the number of power builds will depend on the player’s creativity. Some options are worse than others, but sometimes a great game has options for everyone. I believe that is incredibly subjective when it comes to what is best and what isn’t.
Except there are always several attractive options in games like Mass Effect that are built to prepare players for any situation. i never used it myself, because i love the first game:p, but i believe you can choose the virmire sequence, paragon / renegade, and council decision. Genesis is mainly for people who didnt play / didnt like the first game, and wanted to generate choices for shepard (without actually playing). a good ammount affect ME2 in small way or another, its up to you if you want everything carried over. if you have done all the ally achvs then this might be a breeze, but there are a substancial ammount of quests to log.
The only thing that might take time is if you want to have mass effect1 fully finished, like all assignments and such. this month for ME1, and febuary for the sequal. you should be finishing up ME2 assignments a couple weeks before the ME3 release. Im not sure on the time you have for gaming, but i know i could grind it out in a perfect timeline:). I did some research and it looks like it only affects choices you make, would I still get level 60, xp and money bonuses from doing it?
My answer was to use Genesis at the start of ME2 to save time. Hey guys, I posted this on the ME3 forums this morning.
